Zendesk webhooks provide a powerful capability to extend the platform. Lately, I've been coming across quite a few posts created by Zendesk user's asking if triggers can be used to set a certain field, such as ticket organization, set a due date in the future, or even to clear a date field. The answer to most of these questions is to create and leverage the power of webhooks. Because webhooks can be a confusing concept to work with for some admins, we have created several tutorials on how to build a webhook to handle various use cases.
- Use a Webhook to Set Due Date Filed via Trigger or Automation
- Set Requester Organization from Trigger
- Remove Requester Organization from Trigger
- Clear Date Field via Trigger or Automation
There are also a lot of good resources available in the SuccessCX Help Centre, some of which we have included below.
- How to automatically update a ticket's subject
- How to copy user profile data into a custom text field using a webhook
- How to automatically add CC's to a ticket via webhook
- How to automatically remove all CC's, Followers & Collaborators on a ticket via a business rule
